MILLICENT
MILLICENT is a natural edge wooden bowl that I hand turned on my lathe from beech wood responsibly sourced in nearby Scott County, Kentucky. Miraculously, I was retained the lichen on the edge of the bowl. This feature, combined with the natural edge and curvy lines make this one standout piece!
This natural edge wooden bowl measures approximately 5-1/4″ wide, 3-3/8″ tall, and 2-7/8″ deep. I polished the wood with food safe walnut oil followed by a protective coating of beeswax to provide a durable finish and rich luster.
Care instructions are included with the purchase of this piece.

A little about me….
I’m a historical archaeologist and spend my days excavating sites, analyzing artifacts, and writing up my findings. When I’m not in the field, you’ll find me in my woodshop. I primarily use found and reclaimed wood from here in Central Kentucky. It’s my hope that incorporating elements of the wood as I found it into each piece serves as a reminder that the object you see once was part of a beautiful, living tree.
