Meghan is a rustic wood vase that I hand turned on my lathe from wood responsibly sourced in nearby Fayette County, Kentucky.
This rustic wood vase is designed to hold dried items (such as dried flowers, twigs, or anything else you’d hold in a dry vase). Respect it and love it and never fill it with water. All grain changes and cracks are natural and enhance the beauty of this vessel.
The vase measures 6-5/8″ tall and 3-1/2″ wide at the base. The depth of the vase is roughly 5″, and the opening has a 2″ diameter. I finished the wood with high friction polish enhance any natural changes in coloring, tone, and grain of the cherry wood.
Care instructions are included with the purchase of this piece.

A little about me….
I’m a historical archaeologist and spend my days excavating sites, analyzing artifacts, and writing up my findings. When I’m not in the field, you’ll find me in my woodshop. I primarily use found and reclaimed wood from here in Central Kentucky. It’s my hope that incorporating elements of the wood as I found it into each piece serves as a reminder that the object you see once was part of a beautiful, living tree.
