FAULKNER is a centerpiece tray that I hand turned on my lathe from southern magnolia wood responsibly sourced in Franklin County, Kentucky. Bark inclusions, small natural cracks, worm holes, and knots all are reinforced and contribute to the uniqueness of this piece.
This centerpiece tray measures 12-3/4″ wide, 1-1/2″ tall, and 1″ deep. I polished the dish with food safe walnut oil followed by a protective coating of beeswax and carnauba wax to provide a durable finish and rich luster. As with all of my handmade wood dishes, I include care instructions with the purchase of this piece.

A little about me….
I’m a historical archaeologist and spend my days excavating sites, analyzing artifacts, and writing up my findings. When I’m not in the field, you’ll find me in my woodshop. I primarily use found and reclaimed wood from here in Central Kentucky. It’s my hope that incorporating elements of the wood as I found it into each piece serves as a reminder that the object you see once was part of a beautiful, living tree.
