DENISE
Denise is a turned wood box that I made on my lathe from hackberry wood responsibly sourced in nearby Franklin County, Kentucky. This little lidded bowl would be perfect to store jewelry and other small trinkets.
Without the lid, the bowl measures approximately 3-3/4″ wide by 1-3/4″ tall and 1-3/8″ deep. With the lid, the turned wood box is approximately 3″ tall.
I finished the wood with high friction polish to bring out its natural color, grain, and tone. The finish is not food safe, though the bowl may be used to hold candy, nuts, etc. It’s also perfect for rings, cuff links, and other small trinkets.
Care instructions are included with the purchase of this piece.

A little about me….
I’m a historical archaeologist and spend my days excavating sites, analyzing artifacts, and writing up my findings. When I’m not in the field, you’ll find me in my woodshop. I primarily use found and reclaimed wood from here in Central Kentucky. It’s my hope that incorporating elements of the wood as I found it into each piece serves as a reminder that the object you see once was part of a beautiful, living tree.
