Cordia is a wood serving dish that I hand turned on my lathe from rainbow tulip poplar wood responsibly sourced in nearby Franklin County, Kentucky.
This wood serving dish measures 12-1/4″ in diameter and 1-7/8″ tall with a depth of approximately 1-1/4″. I polished this dish with Terra Nova NaturOil which is food safe, FDA approved, kosher, environmentally friendly, non-toxic, free of dyes, perfumes, and nut oils that can cause allergic reactions, and protects against drying, cracking, and water damage. I followed the NaturOil up with a coating for added protection.
Care instructions are included with the purchase of this piece.

A little about me….
I’m a historical archaeologist and spend my days excavating sites, analyzing artifacts, and writing up my findings. When I’m not in the field, you’ll find me in my woodshop. I primarily use found and reclaimed wood from here in Central Kentucky. It’s my hope that incorporating elements of the wood as I found it into each piece serves as a reminder that the object you see once was part of a beautiful, living tree.
