Clarimonde is a turned wooden candle holder made from maple wood responsibly sourced in Bourbon County, Kentucky. A bit of the inner bark remains and the grain follows the curves of the tree “crotch” between what had been two branches.
The tea light holder is glass, and the wood has a leather base. The leather comes from the offcuts of a local leather & tack shop, thus making use of scrap pieces that otherwise are considered waste.
The wood candle holder’s dimensions are 3″ tall (without glass) and 3-5/8″ wide. This one-of-a-kind, turned wooden candle holder comes with the glass tea light cup and one unscented white tea light. Additionally, care instructions are included with the purchase of this piece.

A little about me….
I’m a historical archaeologist and spend my days excavating sites, analyzing artifacts, and writing up my findings. When I’m not in the field, you’ll find me in my woodshop. I primarily use found and reclaimed wood from here in Central Kentucky. It’s my hope that incorporating elements of the wood as I found it into each piece serves as a reminder that the object you see once was part of a beautiful, living tree.
