Adeen is a natural edge bowl that I hand turned from responsibly sourced walnut wood out of here in Bourbon County. This wood was shared with me by a friend whose only request was that the bowl be named after his granddaughter. Mission accomplished.
I was excited to see how this natural edge bowl would turn out, and I was not disappointed with that gorgeous grain and depth of color. It’s a show-stopper for sure!
I finished the bowl with food safe Terra Nova NaturOil followed by a coating of beeswax which is applied for added protection.

A little about me….
I’m a historical archaeologist and spend my days excavating sites, analyzing artifacts, and writing up my findings. When I’m not in the field, you’ll find me in my woodshop. I primarily use found and reclaimed wood from here in Central Kentucky. It’s my hope that incorporating elements of the wood as I found it into each piece serves as a reminder that the object you see once was part of a beautiful, living tree.
